Hi everyone, all the best for 2015.

2014 was pretty good with us from a musical point of view. We toured a bit around Europe with good people, had excellent food, played a beautiful german basilica, a soaked public park in Switzerland, a techno festival in Sardinia, a jazz festival in Germany, an art gallery in Leipzig, the tiniest place and PA in Rimini, the shortest set in Bari, performed next to a Rembrandt in Dordrecht, super loud in Karlsruhe, made the pipes vibrate in Innsbrück, crashed the laptop twice in London and Münster, had a blast in Torino, improvised with Blackthread on a boat, wrote site-specific music pieces for french river banks, etc.

Thanks a lot to everyone involved in this, to people who took care of us, cared for the music, supported the music and shared moments with us : promoters, agents, tech crews, sound engineers and of course those who came to the shows. And also to all the artists we shared the stage with : Lillevan, Julia Kent, Lubomyr Melnyk, Bohren & der Club of Gore, Insiden, Anna von Hausswolff, Haxan Cloak, John Lemke, BJ Nilsen, Saffronkeira & Mario Massa, Alexandre Navarro, Jen Reimer & Max Stein, Ensemble Economique... And special thanks to close supporting/helping/working people around us, Clémence, Michaël, Fabien, Pierre, Chris and Clément. And thank YOU.

In 2014, there weren't many Witxes releases but there was a remix for Oiseaux-Tempête (on Sub Rosa, along with remixes by Aun, Scanner, Saaad, Machinefabriek, Dag Rosenqvist, etc.), a remix for Silent Whale Becomes a Dream (on Arbouse, along with remixes by Loscil, Benoît Pioulard and Melodium) and also a commission for six pieces of site-specific music premiered at the Contemporary Music Biennale in Lyon (these pieces might surface properly in 2015).

But 2014's main release for us was a new 20min piece of music based on a track by Dale Cooper Quartet & the Dictaphones, available on split album released by Denovali Records. DC4, on their side, built a track upon "The Apparel" (from A Fabric of Beliefs). Some nice words about it :

2015 is still to be written, but a few remixes for other people as well as a few guest appearances on other artists' albums are already in the pipes, and a lot of studio/writing/recording time is what we're counting on.
